What a weekend!

If you had to pick one word to describe this past weekend it'd be BUSY! Jeff took Friday off and we headed up to Northeast Pennsylvania for our annual family reunion. On the way we stopped by Jeff's Aunt and Uncle's (beautiful!) new house as his cousin was in town. Here is a picture of our family and his cousin, Laurie's, family.

The funny (embarrassing) thing about this stop was that Jeff realized the tags on our car were expired! So, we had to use Marcey and Dan's computer, log on to the DMV's webiste, and renew the registration. Embarrassing, yes....but we are glad we realized this before getting a huge fine or something of that sort!

Two hours later we arrived at my grandma Stepniak's house -- she is 93! -- and were soon joined by my other grandma, uncles, aunts, and cousins! And this was just for pizza -- not the reunion! The girls and Colin had a blast to say the least. Cecelia's favorite part was playing Go Fish! with Stacey, Brian and Chris on the back porch.

The next morning we headed to the reunion. The gathering the night before was just with my mom and dad's immediate family. The reunion was filled with great-aunts, second cousins, etc. It's at my cousin Johnny's cabin about an hour away from my grandma's house. The property is huge complete with a big field for the annual wiffle ball game (the old timers lost, right dad?), a good sized pool, and a a nice air conditioned cabin for everyone to relax in. This year I designed the t-shirts. Here are Jeff, me and the kids in our t-shirts. Are you jealous that you didn't get one, Michael? :)

Here is another picture of the girls asleep in the car on the way to the reunion! Too cute!

Here is another picture of Caroline in the pool w/my dad. How cold was the water? According to Jeff he started to go numb -- but we all know Jeff is an exaggerator :) My dad didn't go below his waist, so maybe Jeff wasn't too far off! hehe

On the way back on Sunday we made a side trip to Strasburg, PA and hit up the Strasburg Railroad. The last time we did that Cecelia had just turned two! Those pictures are on another camera, so I'll post them in a couple of days!

Needless to say we are pretty tired! We left my grandma's at 9:45 on Sunday and got back to our house at 6pm. Ugh!

I then took the kids to see a kiddy concert on Monday morning and then went back to a friend's house for a play date afterwards. Am I crazy? Nah -- I just have kids :)
