They've got the "Whole" world in their hands...

So, I never thought I'd see the day, but yes, budget mommy erin ventured into Whole Foods last night. It all started with needing some granite cleaner. The previous owners of our new house used a variety of "green" products and I thought I'd stick with their mini crusade. So, the only place to purchase this cleaner was at Whole Foods. We also needed a few other things so I thought I'd take this opportunity (sans kids) and walk around this foreign place.

I honestly loved it. Even the smell of the store was appealing...it smelled natural! haha

Their products weren't super overpriced and after trying a few of them at home today they are pretty good. They even packaged things in their ever so trendy paper bags with handles -- obviously they encourage reusable bags so I'll have to bring my Wegmans (gasp!) bags next time. Yes, I had the Whole Foods experience.

No, I'm not turning completely green, but I do think what people are saying about the environment makes sense. So, I'm going to try this out for a little bit. I'm going to purchase some green products (paper towels, cleaners, etc.) that are more natural and I'm going to purchase some foods that are USDA organic. This way, in our own small way, we can help the earth a little bit, and help our kids' future as well - both inside and out. Perhaps even Jeff and I will benefit from the organic part by not putting as many pesticides inside of us! We'll see how it goes!

By the way -- for my fellow budget friends -- they do offer Value Tours. I may just have to sign up for that! Make my organic buck go a little further!
