Back to the farm - and the train!

So, this weekend was actually nice and cool for a change! We took advantage of this and did a lot outside! First things first -- the farm on Saturday. We met up w/Roberta and her family and picked our "share" of peaches. Jeff managed to find one of the only yellow peach trees with fruit (all the way in the back of the orchard!) and snagged some yummy peaches for a peach cobbler! Thank you Carrie for the recipe -- I've made it three times this summer season!

Here are a couple of pictures of the kids enjoying the farm!

We then headed back home, Jeff's parents came over, and I attempted to make Eggplant Parmesan (I had eggplant from this week's farm share). I think it turned out OK!

The next day rain entered the picture, but we somehow managed to make it to church and the kids were actually good! Amazing! Colin was a ham as he had the attention of the entire row behind him -- cannot resist a curly haired cutie! Did I mention he has curly hair? :)

We then headed to Cheesecake Factory to meet my parents for breakfast. Then it was off to the mall to ride the train (a "toy" one as Cecelia says) and purchase a few items for Cecelia's first day of Kindergarten!

Here they (Cecelia, Caroline, Colin and my mom!) in the red caboose!
