Mother's Helper = Mother's Lifesaver!

So, I decided to "hire" my neighbor's daughter who is in eighth grade. She attends Cecelia's school with is an added bonus. She'll come once a week for two hours.

Everyone (including Colin) was excited to have her come over. The girls really kept her going with swinging, digging for worms in the mulch (and then bringing them inside to show me!), and playing soccer in the back yard. While she was entertaining them I was able to put away clean laundry that has been sitting in my room for (gasp!) over a week! It was kids clothes, so by the time I got a chance to put it away (at night) the kids are sleeping in their room and I don't want to wake them up. I was able to vacuum and straighten a few things up -- plus make dinner! Two hours went by fast!

She watched the three of them for a while, but I eventually took Colin in to give her a break. He just snacked in his high chair watching me make dinner! However, Colin fussed when he was done and I brought him back outside and he couldn't have been happier. Needless to say, for what I pay her (her mom set the price - not me!) it's a steal and really gives me a little mid-week breather! I think she was anxious to get home (hey, I know that watching three kids is tiring!), but when she left Caroline cried... Too cute!
