Well, it's that time of year...Easter! The weekend was busy, but really nice. Today was especially good. Cecelia was up at 6:45 asking if the Easter Bunny had come yet so Jeff and I had no choice but to get up, get the video camera ready and have her look at her Easter basket (we were half asleep). Then we got ready for church and by 8:15 we were out the door for 9am Mass -- crazy, right? Well, we got the seat that we wanted and before we knew it chaos was happening in our little row -- Cecelia was talking during Mass about random things wanting to sit on Daddy's lap and Caroline was crawling on the floor looking for the empty box of animal crackers I had stashed in the diaper bag. When she found the empty box and saw it was empty all (you know what) broke loose. And this was during the liturgy of the Eucharist -- needless to say the whole church heard. Oh well, kids will be kids, right? Ugh!
We ran into Cecelia's "best friend" from preschool and her family and the two girls participated in the Easter egg hunt outside of church and Cecelia even managed to give the Easter Bunny a hug! The two girls walked hand in hand to grab some eggs, but the "big kids" managed to snag 'em all. Caroline tried to participate, but she was just happy walking around in the grass. After the church activities, we headed back home to have brunch at our house with both sets of grandparents. All went well and I even managed to get some pictures of the girls in their Easter dresses. Please mind the blurriness as Cecelia just discovered how to take pictures and apparently smudged the lens. It has since been cleaned, but not in time to capture these cute moments. Look at my wonderful family :)
