Getting ready for spring...

This weekend was quite jammed packed... At 9am on Saturday we all took a trip to Home Depot so Cecelia could make a birdhouse with Daddy (a free program they have monthly!) while Caroline and I shopped around for things on Jeff's list. You may think 9am on a Saturday is early, but it's actually kind of late when miss Cecelia asks for breakfast at 6:30am! We then headed to Wegmans for our weekly shopping trip. The day ended good with my parents (Grandma and PopPop) coming over for dinner. Grandma made the day with nice "treats" from Amphora!

Sunday started out with church (again, at 9am!) and then we were off to Home Depot (are you seeing a pattern here?) to get some mulch. We needed 3 cubic yards of the stuff and it just so happened that there was a one day 50% off sale! 40+ bags of mulch for $55!!! For a family on a budget this was wonderful news! So, while Caroline took a nice long nap that afternoon, Cecelia and I went outside to "help" Jeff spread the mulch. Cecelia actually helped dump some of it, but I just enjoyed sitting in a lawn chair taking in the sun (a nice perk of being the pregnant one). Everyone should be proud of me though -- I let Cecelia get really dirty! Hey, at least she was entertained for a few hours! My favorite line of hers from the weekend was "I have work to do" (imagine her with her little bucket, shovel and mulch)...too cute! The day ended with Jeff's parents coming over to celebrate his mom's birthday -- again, a pattern here, 9am out and about, Home Depot, grandparents, and a good dessert!

I put a picture of Cecelia and Jeff making a birdhouse -- the birds have yet to discover it (Cecelia checks it several times a day as it is hanging outside of her window).
