Fun in the Memorial Day weekend sun!

Today was a fun start to the three day weekend. We started off visiting the local library and picking out some books -- Fancy Nancy is always a huge hit! I'm trying to get the girls to like books by Tomie dePaola (one of my favorites) so I secretly loaded up on some of his! Colin even picked out a fitting book called "I Love Daddy" -- too cute!

Then we headed back home for lunch and then some fun in the sun. Cecelia and the little girl next door found a baby bird underneath a neighbor's car. Turns out it was a baby dove. The girls helped the neighbor move it back to it's nest. What a thrill for them!




Then, after spending some time on the swing set and coloring, the girls decided to run through the sprinkler. Colin was brave and tried to go through, but after he got a little wet he backed off, cried, and decided to play with the water table in the front yard (away from the shrieking girls!).
