At least that's what we are hoping!
So, not sure if you guys know this, but my thumb is by no means green! Right, Roberta? However, my cousin gave me a great idea to plant some seeds and then have potted vegetables on the deck this summer. She made it seem pretty "fool proof" (my name written all over it!) So, Caroline, Colin and I went to Lowes today and purchased some organic seed packets (I didn't know they had organic ones!), organic soil, and a mini greenhouse to make them into seedlings. When they sprout a little and the weather gets warmer we'll plant them in pots outside on our back deck. Before we moved in, they had to spray for termites, so I'm a little weary what's in the ground in our back yard. So, we opted to keep things in pots so we can control the quality of the produce (that is assuming we get any! haha) We planted green beans, cherry tomatoes, peppers, peas, parsley, basil, and petuias (in honor of Dora -- the Grumpy Old Troll got married to Petunia :) too cute!)
Here's hoping this all works out -- and teaches the kids something having to take care of something to have it grow!
So, this is my spring/summer project that I'm hoping doesn't backfire like the Topsy Turvies did last year...don't ask...ugh!
