Sweetest turkeys

I saw on a friend's blog (thanks, Meredith!) an idea for all that extra Halloween candy. Her girls decorated shoe boxes and made candy houses! With it getting dark outside so early I'm always looking for new activities to do inside! With Thanksgiving next week I had the girls make turkeys with the colored candy. We separated all the candy into colors using candy like skittles, milk duds, etc. to get the "fall color" scheme going. Using their hands we made a turkey shape. With the turkeys covered with glue they kids went to town. I helped Caroline with hers (despite her will to do it by herself!) and Cecelia worked on hers by herself.

Colin watched his big sisters happily from his high chair!

Aren't these the "sweetest" turkeys you've ever seen?!
