Oh the things two year olds do...

So, we saw our favorite child performer yesterday -- and we were the only people there (for the firs 10 minutes!). At the end there were only a handful of kids there. The reasoning is simple -- in the low 50's, rainy, and just plain miserable. Plus there was a huge 20' X 20' X 3" (is that how I write 3" deep?) puddle right behind the concert. I tried to distract Caroline for the first 1/2 hr, but after that (and her kicking and screaming) I just let her go. She had a raincoat on, but no boots or other "water repellent" things. As a Mom I was horrified. Thoughts of pneumonia ran in my head and I had to think of a quick plan of attack. Once the concert was over I grabbed her (she was screaming of course) and once she realized she was cold and wet she got more upset. So, I cranked the heat in the car (luckily we got a super close spot!), took off most of her clothes and dried her off with one of my fleece jackets. By that time it was quite toasty in the car. She suffered only a slight stuffy nose, but that has since gone away. Ah -- the life of a two year old. They don't have a care in the world except stomping in big water puddles! Now..if only I had my camera!
