Where did the time go?

Cecelia started Kindergarten yesterday. I didn't know something could be both exciting and sad... No crying was involved, but it's hard to let her go -- seven hours every day! Perhaps it'll be my "lack of control" that I no longer have for those seven hours. "let go, erin. let go..." Well, today is the first full day (yesterday was only 2 1/2 hours). We did have a taste of this over the summer when she went to arts and crafts camp, but this is something we have to get used to for a long time to come....grade school, high school, college....marriage??!!! OK I'm going to stop now.

Needless to say she was super excited about the whole thing. Every morning she woke up it'd be a count down to Monday. She'd sing her days of the week song...it's to the tune of "Oh My Darling' Clementine" but goes ....Sunday Monday, Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday Friday Saturday...Sunday Monday, Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday Friday Saturday. Anyhow, she's sing the song just to figure out how many more days until school started. She's already made a new friend which Jeff and I are happy about. And she was excited to go back today -- which is always a good sign. Drop-off went so fast I really didn't even get a chance to say goodbye! But, the woman who got her out of the car I think is the Kindergarten aid and she knew Cecelia's name -- so that made me feel good!
