5...4...3...2...1...Blast Off!!!

Today we headed off to the Udvar Hazy museum -- it was only a few miles from our house so we thought "why not?" It was truly incredible! I've never seen so many aircraft close up including the space shuttle and the Concord!

The kids loved it too! Colin is such a boy -- he was pointing at all the airplanes! It really is amazing how early boys show "male" personality characteristics. Yes, the aircraft and space shuttle might have been a fluke, but I've noticed this in other things. For example, he loves anything with wheels -- give him a mega block car or even a matchbox car and he'll push it around the house for a good 20 minutes! Also, he does eat...dirt...and rocks, grass, and anything else that's yucky outside! The girls never did that!

Here are some pictures from today. By the way -- we arrived a few minutes before they opened (10am) and the place wasn't crowded at all. We left at about 11:30 and it still was pretty quiet. So, if you are interested check it out early! Also -- for those who don't have kids (there are so many of you -- haha! you know at times I'm jealous!) take advantage of the docents who give free tours of the place. I heard they are pretty amazing.

Oh -- quick tid bit for those who know I love a good deal! We purchased each child a book from the bookstore. And guess what? My FONZ ID card got us 10% off!!! Woohoo! Too bad there wasn't a discount on parking... haha!

In the first picture our car is the sixth one in (the red one!).
