We've been at our new house for over a week now and are loving every minute of it. There were a few hiccups with the moving truck and the fence being installed, but all in all it went pretty smooth. I told Jeff yesterday that I am truly happy -- not sure if there is just more light in this house or maybe the fact that we actually have room to run around and have the kids let their energy out -- I'm just happy. And that's a good thing!
The big perk (besides all the new room) is a community pool. Cecelia has FINALLY started to like the water and Caroline and Colin love it. So, we head to the pool when Jeff gets home from work (around 6pm) and stay until the lifeguard whistle blows (around 6:45), head home for a bath, then have a late dinner (which I get ready earlier in the day). The kids miraculously then go right to bed! AMAZING!!! Needless to say, we'll be doing this as long as the pool is open and there is no rain (rain tonight -- ugh!). Rain is good though w/all the hot weather we've been having -- gives us a break from moving the lawn sprinkler all around!
Next big thing? Getting the basement finished before it gets too cold outside. We are getting a few estimates and hoping to get that under way soon.
Here is a cute picture of Cecelia and Caroline our first night in the house...Caroline was so used to sleeping in the same bed with Cecelia at my parents house that she insisted on sharing Cecelia's twin bed -- haha Talk about sisterly love! This picture Jeff took around 11pm that first night.
Well -- the kids are currently dancing in the basement to their favorite song "Hey Soul Sister" and then we are off to Wegmams when Colin wakes up :) Look for another post soon about Cecelia's birthday (she turns 5 tomorrow!!!).
