School, Soccer and Slides

Cecelia started preschool on Wednesday (well, it was orientation day, but that counts!). This is her second year of preschool and she was waiting for this day all summer! She couldn't wait to see her friends and play with all the toys at preschool. That morning she woke up, got dressed right away and was ready to go! Such a first in this house! I attached a picture of her in front of the school!

Thursday marked the first day (a lot of "firsts" this week!) of soccer! Cecelia joined a team here in the City and Jeff took her to her first practice Thursday night (I, of course, stayed home with Caroline and Colin -- I guess soccer is more of a dad thing...maybe because Jeff actually played soccer as a kid and I did more of the ballet/piano thing?? Oh well :)! I was informed that Cecelia actually named the team -- they are called The Bees!!! Too cute! Her first game is in a few weeks and she can hardly wait! She has pink soccer shoes, a pink ball and pink shin guards! The amazing thing is she actually paid attention during the practice -- she is growing up right before our eyes!

Lastly, slides! The highlight of the week has been the frequent trips to the park. I was able to find a small park here in the City that no one is at (ok, there are cars driving by --- don't get ideas of us being attacked or anything like that -- ok,Mom?) so I can have Colin in the carrier in eye view and then run around and have fun w/the girls. Since there is only a few play areas, Caroline and Cecelia are right by each other. Some of the bigger parks with more kids and more play areas are too tough for us right now -- the girls go off in separate ways and I'm constantly carrying around Colin in the carrier. Here is a pic of the girls on the slide :)

Oh, I also want to show a pic of the kids with my Grandma -- she was down for almost 3 weeks and we enjoyed every minute of it!
