Princess Cecelia

I was feeling good most of the weekend so we headed to the Fairfax Fall Festival (our old stomping grounds -- sniff sniff) and had some good ol' fashion fall fun. The girls pet some animals at the petting zoo, had some yummy ice cream, and Cecelia will forever more be called Princess Cecelia. Obviously I'm just kidding about the latter, but she seriously wanted to be called Princess Cecelia for the rest of the day. Check out the cute "crown/tiara" she purchased (Ok, WE purchased) at the festival. Gee -- is that a TEAL crown? haha Go figure they'd have her favorite color!

The funny (or not so funny if you ask Jeff) is that we were all in the car ready to go (around 1:45) to the festival (against Jeff's will as he wanted to give the kids a nap and I said the heck with it) and he goes to start the car and....absolutely nothin'! Yes, you guessed it -- the battery was dead. So, I guess Jeff won -- the kids took their naps while Jeff went and purchased a new one! What a wonderful husband I have. Not only did he use some tool to see if it was the battery causing the problem, but he took it out, went to Costco for the new one, and installed the new one all under an hour!!! Talk about a handsome handyman :) The Handsome Handyman -- someone must of thought of that already for a small business name, right?

ANYWAYS....I also want to pass on that I had another post op appointment today and the bandage lens was removed because...my epithelium is healed!!! Wooohoo!!! Back in contacts next week, baby! But, please keep up those prayers as I'm still hoping for no infections in the coming weeks! Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes! OK -- Imagination Movers are over -- time to take the kids outside to play and wait for Daddy (AKA Handsome Handyman -- haha!) to come home!

  1. LOL there must be a curse on batteries here lately! Steve's died a few months ago, then his dad's died, then my sisters' died about 3 weeks ago and my brother's died last week. Glad to hear it was only your battery!
That's awesome about your epithelium being healed and being able to go back into contacts next week! YAY!! I'll keep praying for no infections for you. I'm so glad to hear you're doing so well after your procedure!
