Last Saturday started out like a typical Saturday in the Meunier house -- up at 6:15am changing a diaper and then falling asleep on the couch while Miss Caroline watched Princess and the Frog and ate her yogurt.
Then it was off to Cecelia's first soccer game of the season at 10:45. It was great -- there were actually two other girls from her school on her soccer team! This year it's a girls team instead of co-ed like it was for U-5 last year. That makes a huge difference as the girls aren't as aggressive as the boys. Seriously, it starts young! Check out the video (this is my first video on the blog!). By the way...she is number eight!!
We then headed home for some lunch and I was soon off to meet some old co-workers for lunch/dessert. It was so great to catch up! It took us an hour to actually put our order in because we had so much to talk about! All of us used to work in the same hall together and we'd "gab" every day. So imagine us not talking for four months -- a lot to catch up on!
My parents were in the area shopping so they stopped by for a half hour which was just enough time for them to keep an eye on the kids while Jeff and I straightened up...because a few good friends were coming over in several hours. We had such a good time. The main course was Elevation Burgers (organic!) and then a delicious chocolate cake from Whole Foods -- yum! Our friends are so great. We actually were going to meet them at Elevation Burger, but Caroline had a little health issue (a lot of diaper changes!) and we didn't feel comfortable going out. So, our friends picked up burgers for us and came over to our place! We had a great time visiting/catching up and a really funny game night! After the long (and fun) day I only have one more thing to say...
