Active weekend

This weekend started off with the usual soccer game -- Cecelia "got in there" a few times, but for the most part did her usual "run and around and have fun" bit. It's so cute to see all the girls interact. At one point there were are sitting in a circle on their soccer balls giggling and the coach came over and said "what are you girls talking about?" and someone responded "You!" and they all laughed!

We then came home and played outside for a couple hours with the neighbor next door. She is a couple years older than Cecelia, but gets along great with the two girls! Every time they see each other outside (and the other is inside) they both want to be out there playing together. I'm so glad she's made a friend who is right next door!

We then kind of lounged around after lunch (Caroline and Colin took a nap) and then I had the "bright" idea to go out to dinner. We used a restaurant.com coupon and including the price of the coupon all five of us were able to eat a great sit-down meal for $19 (including tip!). My kind of dinner out!

Sunday was church, of course, but the kids weren't on their best behavior so we only lasted 30 minutes -- ugh! If we didn't have plans already we would have just headed home (Cecelia would have probably gone to her room), but Jeff's and my anniversary (8 years!) is on Tuesday so wee did our traditional breakfast. We've been doing this for three years now -- the Sunday closest to our anniversary we go back to the hotel where we had our wedding reception and have breakfast. Jeff gets to have his "sticky bun" french toast and my favorite part is the fresh squeezed orange juice w/unlimited refills! haha This year they have redone the menu to include a few organic things -- more bonus points for them in my book! Here is a picture from yesterday! Note: if you go to the October archives (on the right side of the window) you'll see our picture from last year. Boy have we changed! Jeff is 60 lbs lighter and all the kids look so much older! I think I look thinner, but my hair is bigger -- haha!
