Well, Christmas has come and gone in the Meunier household. And to tell you the truth it's a little bittersweet; sweet in that all the stress is finally gone and bitter in the fact that all the excitement is behind us. We started our celebration with Jeff's parents on Christmas Eve here at our house (there is a picture of the two girls putting cookies out for Santa and carrots out for the reindeer (when did that start?)). Caroline actually wanted to eat one of the cookies, but typical Cecelia got a little mad and the night ended in tears for little Caroline. That night I tried to get Jeff to let out a big "ho ho ho" and jingle some bells right when we turned off the lights to go to bed(for effect) , but he decided not to...he thought Colin might wake up and start crying (probably true). Eh, maybe next year :) Christmas morning went well (both girls got bikes -- a princess bike and a tricycle) . We then headed to 9am Mass and then it was off to Grandma and Pop Pop's house for Christmas day and dinner. Then before we knew it we were on the road the next morning to Great Grandma's house in Pennsylvania. We had a nice time there and was great to see all the family (literally). We had so many visitors to the house (my grandma comes from a family of nine so you get the picture). We were there for a few days and on the way back stopped at Aunt Marcey and Uncle Dan's house (Jeff's side) to see them and his cousin and her family. I put in a picture of the two girls with Catie -- too cute! Tonight I actually sat down and watched one of my favorite shows that comes on in December -- the Kennedy Center Honors (we DVR'd it last night). What a nice ending to this holiday season. If you've never seen it, it's a great show -- comes on once a year right after Christmas. Happy New Year! (three kids = no plans -- please go out so we can live vicariously through you!!)
