Well, we ventured out to downtown DC today -- Jeff thought we were crazy, but we made it! No longer man-man defense, we are now "zone." I had Colin in the Baby Bjorn and Caroline and Cecelia were in the double stroller. It worked out pretty well. The main objective was to see the dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum. Cecelia is all about dinosaurs right now, so this was really exciting for her! However, the highlight of the day was the Carousel ride! Just like the movie Mary Poppins (one of Cecelia's favorites - it used to be one of Jeff's, but after watching it/ hearing it in the background a bunch of times, I don't think it qualifies as a "favorite" anymore) we rode the horses -- but we actually stayed on the carousel (unlike the movie!). Cecelia was excited and terrified all at the same time! Too funny! All in all the day was a success and ended with dinner out with Grandma, Pop Pop and Great Grandma (her treat!). Aw, sweet! Good for you for taking them out - I have great memories of my parents doing the same.
