Weekend (and some weekday) fun

This post is a little late in being posted. I had it written last Monday, but I kept forgetting to get the picture off the camera!

Last weekend was filled with a "hodgepodge" of activities. It seems that as the kids are getting older our weekends are filled with more things. Our last day of soccer class was on Saturday -- Caroline was one of only two kids that showed up for her "mini soccer" class so it was some really good exercise for her. Jeff said she ran non stop the entire time. Usually there are 10 kids in her class if that gives you any idea... Cecelia also had fun in her class and they both received medals (purple ones!). My parents then watched the kids that night when Jeff and I went out to the gala for Cecelia's school. We had fun, bid on a few things, but some of the things we really wanted were just a little (just a little!) out of our price range in the "live" part of the auction.

On Sunday we attempted to go to church, but Caroline and Colin weren't behaving well so we left early -- missing doughnut Sunday! Bummer! We then headed to the grocery store, had lunch, and then it was nap time. Jeff was tired from the late night before so I took Cecelia while the others napped and did some shopping! We met up with my mom and even had a little "snack." As we were walking to the shops Cecelia told me "You know what? I really love you, Mommy!" That made my year! haha She's always so partial to Jeff!

This morning when the weather was still nice I took Caroline and Colin to the zoo. We had a lot of fun seeing some of the animals. The Pandas were out and about eating their breakfast and then we even saw some lion cubs playing around with their parents. Really neat! We only saw the monkeys for one minute (literally!) and left the monkey house at Caroline's request. Funny thing is that when I asked her what her favorite part was she replied, "monkeys!" Go figure! We ended with some animal cracker snacks and then headed home. The rain started a few minutes after we got in the car. Perfect timing!
