The girls are having a blast playing with their next door neighbor. Almost every evening they are outside playing with chalk, rolling down the grassy hill or playing this new game -- race around the cul-de-sac. The "race" game consists of someone saying "ready...set...go!" and then all three of them run around the sidewalk until they ready the "End." Sometimes the end is a lot closer for Caroline as she'll randomly stop and start riding her tricycle or pick up a random leaf (very popular right now!). Colin will usually be across the way picking up leaves, putting them in his shopping cart, and then dumping them out again. Endless fun let me tell you!
One night Cecelia played the race game at least twenty times! It was a lot of "Ready...Set...Go!" At bedtime Cecelia was telling me all the prayers she has learned at school -- very impressive for only two months in to the school year! She knows the Hail Mary, Our Father, Glory Be, and a Guardian Angel prayer. I was shocked! A little Catholic 101 (if you aren't Catholic) -- before saying each prayer you "bless" yourself by touching your forehead, your chest, and then each shoulder while saying "In the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, Amen!" In a way it's a little prelude to the prayer. Cecelia successfully said a couple prayers, and at the start of the next one she said "Ready...Set...Oops! I mean "Father, Son..." It was too funny! It a way though she had the right idea -- you really are preparing for the prayer just like you are preparing for the race!
