On our way to a soccer scholarship...just kidding!

Well, the subject says it all -- Cecelia has started soccer! Continuing in the tradition of her Dad and her Uncle Mike, Cecelia has shown an interest in that black and white ball (well, hers is pink and white :) Jeff and I signed her up for a soccer class. Her and her "best friend" learn about soccer every Thursday from "soccer coaches." She'll then be on a soccer team come fall (she has to be at least four so we couldn't do it in the spring). Her first class was last Thursday and they learned how to not use their hands and make a goal. By the end of the class she wasn't using her hands as much, but the "goal" concept was still a little fuzzy -- she thinks she has to go through the goal with the ball (they just had cones set up, not a goal net or anything). Jeff is "supposed" to practice this with her -- but we'll see how that goes!

This past weekend the weather was absolutely beautiful (Saturday was the best day by far with almost 80 degree weather!). On Friday I met a few moms from Cecelia's preschool for dinner (after the kids went to bed, of course!)-- it was so nice getting out (we stayed at the restaurant for almost 4 hours! I guess we really enjoyed our time without the kids around!) On Saturday we met Grandma and Pop Pop for lunch and ate outside! Then after dinner we met another couple that has a boy Cecelia's age for ice cream at the local ice cream shop. What a nice taste of summer! Sunday was nice just a little cloudy -- it was filled with church and grocery shopping. I hear next weekend might be just as nice!
